In my last post I covered the first couple of days at April Market in High Point. There was a lot more to be found in the final three days.
Monday - Day Five
More up and down, trying out upholstery pieces. We checked out a couple of art sources, and visited one of our lighting lines. We made a detour back to the Antique and Design center to revisit a couple of pieces that we couldn't get out of our minds.
Tuesday - Day Six
Tuesday we visited the Hickory Chair showroom. We also checked out Drexel and Henredon showrooms. For some reason I didn't take a lot of pictures this day. I don't know why. It wasn't for lack of inspiration. Just lack of energy at this point in the game I suppose.
Wednesday - Day Seven
The final day of market. We head over to the French Heritage showroom first thing to see their new collections. I saw a lot of great new things here and took tons of pictures! They have a lunch that is not to be missed. They were serving filet mignon that day, which I never pass up, so we drove up the street to pass the time in another showroom until it was time for lunch. By the end of the day we were starting to drag a bit. A lot of people have already headed home and the exhibitors are looking very tired. By the end of the day we have lost all motivation, so we pick up a few purchases we made and head back to Winston-Salem with our treasures.
So, that does it for my recap of April's High Point Market. It took me a while to get around to finishing up this second part of my insiders look, but at least I finished before October's market! I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. I will be sure to take a lot of pictures during the fall market.
