My goal is to make each and every client love their home. To create a place of beauty and comfort, that functions perfectly for the way their family lives. A place that reflects their unique personality and the story of their life.

I'm Amy Hopkins, an ASID allied Interior Designer in Winston-Salem, NC. I have been a lover of interior design for as long as I can remember. As a child I clipped pictures of furniture out of catalogs to create homes for my paper dolls. I would draw floor plans of my dream house and loved seeing before and after photos of rooms in magazines. I started focusing on my career path in high school, taking drafting and interior design classes that were offered at my school. I decided to stay in my hometown of Boone, NC (because who wouldn't want to stay there) to attend Appalachian State University. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Housing and Interiors, after completing an internship with a design firm in Asheville, NC. Upon graduating I moved to Columbia, SC where I spent a couple of years working as a design assistant at a residential design firm. Although the mountains will always have a big piece of my heart, I now happily call Winston-Salem home. I have been living and working as an Interior Designer in Winston-Salem since 2000. When not working I can often be found snuggling my greyhound, hiking, visiting family, biking, watching my husband race his various types of bicycles, reading, and organizing precious family photos. I have enjoyed getting to know all of my clients throughout the years, and doing my part to help them make their house a home they love.

Client Testimonial

I have been working with Amy for about 5 years and she is a fantastic designer. She has helped me remodel several rooms in my home including my favorite room - my living room. It turned out beautifully! It’s a very big room in the center of the home and exposes the second floor with a cat walk around the parameters of the second floor. The wrought iron stair case around the walk is gorgeous and complements the contemporary purple sofa that is absolutely dreamy. The huge black and gold Persian rug grounds the room and gives the room depth. The original art she and I selected gives the room life and sophistication.

Amy is fabulous! I truly love working with her. She has gotten to know me and allows me to be a big part of the decisions. She makes suggestions that are in, and sometimes, outside my box. –Many times I find that it’s piece that’s outside my box that is so perfect!
